Fans of the Tomb Raider Franchise are excited about the upcoming game that will see Lara Croft truly become the Tomb Raider. With the reveal of the game, the devs have been busy revealing new details and now they have confirmed that Shadow Of the Tomb Raider will target 4K/60 FPS on Xbox One X.
In an Interview with Electric Playground, Eidos Montreal boss David Anfossi confirmed that Shadow Of the Tomb Raider is being optimized to run at 4K/60 FPS on Xbox One X.
However, he didn’t reveal much that whether or not the game will be using dynamic resolution scaler or will be native 4K on Xbox One X. But, given that the console is capable of running games at native 4K we wouldn’t be surprised if Shadow Of The Tomb Raider does too.
While the game might be rendered at 4K/60 FPS on Xbox One X but the PC version will be giving the Xbox One X version a run for its money as Nvidia is collaborating Square Enix for the PC version of the game.
Nvidia announced that it is collaborating with the studios working on the title to improve the game’s performance on PC and introduce PC exclusive enhancement.
Speaking of the PC version of the game, Shadow Of The Tomb Raider PC port will be handled by Nixxes Software, who has quite a track record for porting games to PC. Nixxes is known for its work on the PC ports of Dues Ex Mankind Divided and Rise of the Tomb Raider.
Square Enix has also revealed the season pass for the game shortly after the trailer went live. The season pass will give players access to 7 adventures that will be available post-launch. The season pass for the game will bring one new adventure each month.
Shadow Of the Tomb Raider is an action-adventure game in development at Eidos Montreal and Crystal Dynamics and is scheduled to release on September 14, 2018, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
