Microsoft Is All Prepped Up For E3 2018, According To CMO Mike Nichols

In a recent blog post by Microsoft’s CMO for gaming, Mike Nichols, noted that Microsoft is all ready and has a really good flow going on for E3 2018.

The post was published on Xbox Wire, in which Mike said,”the Xbox brand has a fair amount of momentum built up” for the approaching E3.

He added that the Xbox One sales have increased by fifteen percent, in comparison to the previous year’s sales and also that Xbox Live player numbers are up by thirteen percent.

Furthermore, he said that players have accumulated almost one billion hours playing Xbox One backward compatible games and approximately, four billion hours overall.

Mike also said that Microsoft is also seeing success with its Mixer community, and the count of this community has exceeded over ten million active users per month since the month of January.

Interestingly he added that Sony is still the king of the ring when it comes to current console generation, but considering that its true, then Microsoft has done a great job of staying in this game.

Mike also teased a great lineup of the games that they shall show to the Xbox players at E3 2018. So putting all that into context, we can be hopeful that they will be able to make further use of the momentum they’ve built up for the E3 so far.

All that being said, there are also those who think that Microsoft will be disappointing a lot of fans, especially those hoping to see exclusive games

Based on a 4chan leak, the conference will be focusing on already announced exclusive games and very few of them. Furthermore, the main focus will be the third party content.

That’s just, a leak though, so it is pretty early to pass any judgment or have low expectations. We will have to see what they have in store for us when we reach E3.
