Call of Juarez Gunslinger Is Back on Steam And Techland Has The Rights To The IP

Call of Juarez is the popular western shooter franchise which vanished from Steam along with Call of Juarez Gunslinger a short while ago and now developer Techland has revealed that the rights to the popular shooter franchise have been reverted back to them.

Ubiosft was the original publisher of the popular shooter franchise games and in celebration of getting the Call of Juarez games back on Steam, the latest entry in the franchise, Call of Juarez Gunslinger, is available for 33% off.

Developed by Techland, the Call of Juarez series received a great reception and support from a huge community of players. As Techland Publishing moves forward as a leading publisher, we are delighted to welcome Call of Juarez: Gunslinger to our publishing division. We would like to thank Ubisoft for its incredible work publishing the Call of Juarez games. We’ll continue the great efforts of Ubisoft and support the fans of the Call of Juarez universe in the same dutiful and passionate way.

The shooter franchise is known for its gameplay as the games in the franchise feature classic western setting and weapons except for the Call of Juarez: The Cartel which got a mixed reception from fans. Bound In blood is considered the best entry in the franchise and frankly, it is my personal favorite too.

Techland has noted that the availablilty for other games in the franchise will be discussed later. With the rights reverting back to Techland, it would not be far-fetched to assume that the studio might be working on a new entry in the franchise.

Call of Juarez Gunslinger is first-person western shooter developed by Techland for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
