The Razer Abyssus Essential gaming mouse is unlike the cheap mice that you see on the market. It is a step up and is for the gamer that is on a budget as it does not break the bank either. The Razer Abyssus Essential only costs $49.99, which is pretty inexpensive keeping in mind the Razer logo on top.
The mouse features a true 7,200 DPI optical sensor, underglow lighting powered by Razer Chroma. You also get 3 Hyperesponse buttons and up to 10 million keystroke durability. The Razer Abyssus Essential features an ambidextrous ergonomic design and weighs only 78 grams. That is pretty much what you are getting for the price and keeping in mind that this is an entry-level product you get just the basics, as expected.
Underglow is not marketing trickery and unlike emitting light at you directly like other RGB peripherals do the Razer Abyssus Essential reflects light off the surface it is on to produce the effect that you see in the pictures included above. This is something very cool indeed. You can pair this with an RGB mousepad if you want because RGB is everywhere now and why not?
The mouse works with Razer Synapse 3 software which allows you to control and configure many features including the RGB lighting. If you are used to high-end gaming peripherals then you will miss the DPI button which is not there on this mouse but if you are a budget gamer then you will be happy to have a Razer mouse at your disposal even if it is a very basic one.
