Blizzard might be bringing more new content and patches to Warcraft 3, according to a recent job listing.
The job listing is for a senior software engineer which will have to work really closely with Blizzard designers and the community to ensure great player experience.
The roles listed for the software engineer are:
- Design, implement and maintain various gameplay systems for Warcraft III
- Work closely with game designers, programmers, and the community to ensure a great player experience
- Champion Blizzard Entertainment’s core values, especially ‘Gameplay First’
This listing tells that Blizzard is going to patch Warcraft 3 further and might add new maps or modes. However, there are no words on a remaster yet from Blizzard so don’t get your hopes up for that.
At the end of last year, Starcraft got a remaster after which everyone wondered when they will get the remaster for Warcraft 3. Blizzard’s senior producer, Peter Stilwell, said that Starcraft has a perfect balance, unlike the Warcraft, which is why the team doesn’t feel comfortable remastering it.
He also added that if they remaster Warcraft the current community will be affected and they don’t want that to happen.
In other news, there have been many rumors suggesting that Diablo 3 will be coming to Nintendo Switch. But it became more than just a rumor when they teased Diablo 3 for Nintendo on Twitter. After seeing that everyone got so excited but the studio declined and said the Tweet was not a teaser for a Switch game by saying ”As of now, we do not have any current plans to announce Diablo for Switch”.
It’s known that the studio was working on Diablo 3 at some point but they scrapped and it was full of bugs. Afterward, they went on to take on a fresh game. Another has made its appearance on the internet and it claims that the Diablo 3 will be coming to Nintendo Switch in 2019.
