A new rumor suggests that a Call of Duty battle royale game for the Nintendo Switch will be released later this year. The website GamingINTEL claims based on an anonymous informer that this battle royale version of Call of Duty will be the first title in the series that appears before the Switch.
This is a rumor but according to GamingINTEL the leak was checked with its own sources and was considered reliable.
Publisher Activision has not yet announced a battle royale version of Call of Duty, although there were rumors recently that developer Treyarch would experiment with such a mode for the multiplayer of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. There were rumors that this game also for the Switch would appear, however, Black Ops 4 has only been announced for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
According to the source, Raven Software is responsible for Call of Duty ‘Battle Royale’ and is a loose game, which at the time of release may be bundled with Black Ops 4. The game would be released on the same day as Black Ops 4 and also appear for the other consoles and pc.
If the battle royale version is actually a separate project that appears at the same time as Black Ops 4, you would think that this could be at the expense of the multiplayer mode of Black Ops 4.
We don’t have a confirmation about this battle royale mode for Switch yet but On 17 May, Activision will bring more details about Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 During the event where hopefully we will find out whether the Call of Duty series will make its debut on the Nintendo Switch or not.
Nintendo Switch has had an amazing year since the launch and this looks no different if major titles like Call Of Duty keep coming to the hybrid Nintendo console. Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be releasing on October 12 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
