NPD Analyst Has Extremely High Expectations For God Of War, But Will It Raise The Bar?

God Of War releasing today and the NPD Analyst Matt Piscatella recently shared views that the game will certainly have the biggest debut on PlayStation 4.

As soon as the review embargo lifted, everyone came to know how great God Of War really is. With the score of 94 on Metacritic, there are expectations that this game will certainly have the biggest Debut on PlayStation 4. The NPD Analyst Mat Piscatella has similar views.

The day is finally upon us, God Of War is set to roll out today, although few of the privileged ones have had a chance to play the game a little early. Due to the game breaking the street before the release date.

Still, there is a whole community, very much excited about the game and apparently so is Mat Piscatella. The NPD analyst recently made a Tweet saying that he has high expectations with God Of War debut.

He further added that this game ” is set to have the biggest exclusive debut for PlayStation 4.” Considering if it does nail its debut, then the game would be surpassing Uncharted 4 and Horizon Zero Dawn, in comparison to their launch week sales.

If not anywhere else then at least in North America, because when we talk about Horizon Zero Dawn and Uncharted 4, both of these games have brought in record-shattering revenue in their debut week.

The big question is, will the God Of War raise the bar of the gaming industry as whole or not? that question will perhaps soon be answered.

Speaking of the game, according to the game director, God Of War almost didn’t feature any cutscene. According to the game director, the initial pitch for the game was to have a no-cut camera and also he didn’t want any cutscene in the game.

The reason why he didn’t want cutscenes in God Of War was that he didn’t think cinematics are necessary for a narrative but the world itself should be the narrative.

God Of War is a third-person action game developed by Sony Santa Monica scheduled to roll out today, exclusively for PS4.
