Fortnite Battle Royale took the gaming world by storm and has been going strong as Epic Games is supporting it with new updates and content, however, a theory has been circling around the internet suggesting that the iconic Fortnite Tilted Towers are going to be hit by a comet.
The theory comes after a blue glow was spotted floating over the infamous Fortnite Tilted towers and the addition of the telescopes in the area suggests that Epic Games wants players to keep an eye on anything that might move in the sky.
Since April 18, Fortnite players have been speculating that the iconic Tilted Towers will be destroyed by a comet and following the “Tilted Towers wake ceremony” small meteors have appeared in the game, often burning away as players look at them.
However, this is just a theory, for now, and hasn’t been confirmed yet. So, all we can do is wait and see if the theory is true and Epic Games actually blows up the Fortnite Tilted towers with a comet.
In related news, Epic Games has openly expressed its desire to feature cross-play in Fortnite between Xbox and PlayStation, however, according to Microsoft, Sony is the reason for the lack of cross-play.
But, the game’s community isn’t giving up on cross-play as players have started a petition to include cross-play between the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version of Fortnite.
Epic Games and Microsoft, developer and manufacturer of Fortnite and the Xbox video-games console respectively, have both shown a willingness to allow Xbox and PlayStation owners to play Fortnite against each other online. To date, PlayStation manufacturer Sony has yet to comment or show support for the idea. Cross-platform is already allowed between mobile, PC and Xbox or Playstation players, therefore proving there are no system limitations preventing this from happening.
Do you think Epic Games will actually destroy the Tilted Towers in Fortnite? Let us know in the comments.
