Those who know about the rumors that originated back in 2017 about the HD remasters of the first two Shenmue titles, would be excited, as Sega will be rolling out Shenmue HD Ports for its 1st and 2nd part, later this year.
Although back then it was a rumor, and you know how rumors are, some die early and some get forgotten but apparently, rumors regarding Shenmue HD Ports have shaped up as Sega has announced both games, to roll out for PS4, Xbox One, and PC later this year.
Both games will be featuring modern controls and will also be providing the classic controls, for those who would want to experience the game in the original Shenmue feel.
Furthermore, voice tracks in English and Japanese will also be available.
That said, the third game, Shenmue 3 has been in development for quite some time now and apparently we have not heard much from the developers, regarding the upcoming game.
Regarding the Shenmue 3 release date, there has been an awful lot of silence. Although, there is a news that is somewhat of a bummer for the Nintendo Switch fans.
According, to the creator of the series there shall be no Shenmue 3 on Nintendo Switch. Which is a bad news, because fans have been very much excited about the game and hearing that the game is not being considered for Switch leaves Switch fans stranded.
With that being said, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC users, it is going to rain heavy, not only are they going to get the remasters of the original first two parts of the game, this year, they will also be getting Shenmue 3. Well, not on Xbox One.
Perhaps, considering, since remasters are coming on Xbox One as well, there just might be a possibility that the Shenmue 3 also might come on Xbox One in near future.
Only time will tell, let us see what the developers have to say about that.
That being said, are you excited for the HD Ports of this title, rolling out? Let us know in the comments below.
