Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Sales Top Over A Million Players
In case you needed more evidence that Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is superior to the original Vermintide game in every way, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 sales have just hit a million sold within four weeks, when it took the original game a year to hit 500,000, and it’s likely to only get better for Fatshark.
Vermnintide 2 is the direct continuation of the original Vermintide game, which focused on a group of five adventurers defending the city of Ubersreik from the numberless hordes of the ratlike Skaven. However, that game’s DLC cycle ended with everyone being captured and imprisoned by the Skaven, who then allied with an army of Chaos Warriors known as the Rotbloods and invaded the city of Helmgart.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 focuses around the same group of adventurers (who can now use a number of different career paths drawing on their experiences during the first game) attempting to save the city of Helmgart from being overrun by the Rotblood and Skaven.
All of the new changes, and the excellent reputation that the first game had, have all combined to make Warhammer: Vermintide 2 sales jump up to over a million, and considering the game hasn’t even come to consoles yet, there’s no telling how many more players will end up coming to play the game.
In order to celebrate such a huge benchmark for Fatshark, the developers are holding a sale on both games, cutting ten percent off the price of both Vermintide 2 and the original Vermintide game’s Collector’s Edition, so if you’re interested in either game (or want the full story) you can buy both of them now for a cheaper price than you ordinarily would have to pay.
Fatshark also put out an infographic to tell players just how much they’ve accomplished over the course of a million Warhammer: Vermintide 2 sales, so take a look at it here if you’re curious.
