Bethesda Teases Potential Doom 2 Announcement For E3 2018

Doom was a surprise hit of 2016 and it seems that Bethesda is preparing to announce the sequel to the 2016’s reboot of the Doom franchise as Bethesda’s Pete Hines has teased potential announcement of Doom 2 at E3 2018.

Speaking with Dualshockers, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Bethesda, Pete Hines, potentially hinted that Bethesda will be announcing Doom 2 at E3 2018.

While he did reveal that Bethesda will have Big Mix of games at E3 2018 but, what got our attention could be a possible tease for Doom 2 announcement at the E3 conference.

Whether or not folks realize it, this is the hell on Earth [emphasis added] time for us with E3. We are in the midst of so much planning and work for all of that content but I’m really excited.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, then “Hell On Earth” is actually the subtitle for the original Doom II which was released back in 1994.

While this could be a reference towards emphasizing that there is a lot of work to be done for E3 2018 but, “Hell On Earth” is awfully specific.

However, take it with a grain of salt as Bethesda is yet to officially confirm it. But the idea of a sequel is not out of the question since the first game’s ending left enough room for a sequel.

Speaking of Bethesda, many fans are waiting for Elder Scrolls 6, however, the studio has revealed that before Elder Scrolls 6 releases, there will be two major game launches from the studio.

Also, given that Elder Scrolls is one of the most notable franchises in the industry, Bethesda is being very careful about the setting the fans expectation on the Elder Scrolls VI.

Do you think Bethesda will announce Doom 2 at E3 2018? Are you excited for the sequel? Let us know in the comments.
