Hearthstone: The Witchwood – Everything You Need To Know, New Cards, Keywords, Singleplayer Challenges
The new expansion for Hearthstone is due out within the next couple of days. There is always a lot of excitement surrounding every single new expansion for the game since it brings with it a lot of new content, and Hearthstone: The Witchwood is no different.
However, there is not a lot of information available for the new expansion in one place so we thought we would take care for it.
Today, we will tell you everything you need to know about Hearthstone: The Witchwood – everything from what you can expect in the expansion and how will it be changing the game.
Hearthstone: The Witchwood Release Date, Cards
The game’s meta will be completely redefined as soon as the expansion pack is released. There will be a little bit of a hiatus from the OP cards as people try to uncover the next trump card in their deck.
The expansion pack will be released on Apr. 12, 2018. That is only 1 day from now. When the expansion releases, players playing the game will get a bonus. The bonus will consist of three different card packs and a Legendary Card selected at random.
There will be a total of 135 different cards in the new expansion pack. There will be a total of 9 different cards available to you for each new class. These will vary from the Common Cards to the Legendary Cards. The Hero Card will also be a part of it, as has been the custom for the last year or so.
The cards that come with the new expansion will have a lot of new mechanics. The biggest one that we can see is the ‘Echo’ keyword. This means that if a card carries that keyword, you will be able to play the card as many times as you want if you have the mana required.
‘Rush’ is another keyword that will allow your minions to attack other minions in the same turn that they are casted. Lastly, ‘Start of Game’ will allow you to upgrade your Hero Power if you are able to meet certain conditions.
Singleplayer Challenge and Other Interesting Tidbits
The singleplayer challenge that comes with the expansion will allow you to have four heroes battle through encounters against the people that reside in The Witchwood.
This will be quite similar to Dungeon Run, although much smaller in size. This mode will come 2 weeks after the launch of the expansion so that you can figure out how the cards actually work and what to do with the cards before you dive into the challenge.
How to Get Your Hands on The Witchwood
The procedure for getting the expansion is fairly simple, and one that players have already done many times before. The first way is to get the pack is to simply buy the cards from the shop. The prices and the purchasing options are the standard ones.
Apart from this, you will also be able to craft the cards for their standard amount using Arcane Dust.
For the foreseeable future (as long as The Witchwood expansion is the latest one), you will be able to get the guaranteed card pack from the expansion. When the next expansion is out, you might even get The Witchwood packs from the second card packs. You can pre-order the 70 pack bundle for $49.99 and you will get a unique card back as well.
