The Witcher 3 is one of the best games on this generation of consoles and while there is no official mod tool for the game, the community is still working hard to roll out mods for the game and a new Witcher 3 Mod has emerged that recreates game’s UI from E3 2014 demo.

This Witcher 3 mod is titled “E3 UI and HUD” and promises to recreate the game’s interface from the game’s demo that was showcased at E3 2014, just a year before the game released.

You may also have noticed the missing level indicator on monster no matter whether you have scaling on or off,” the mod page says. “This is an intentional design decision. There was no level indicator at E3 and as faithful e3 fanatics we are, we kept that. We suggest to just play with enemy scaling on, as this is (in our opinion) the preferred way to play anyway. However there is a way to roughly know if an enemy is too high leveled for you to fight: if an enemy name is red, that means he’s much higher than you and you probably should run away from the fight. If the name is E3 brown, feel free to wreck him.

As you can see in the video below, the Witcher 3 mod comes very close to recreate the E3 2014 UI for the game along with the map. The mod also comes with a menu that lets you select which mod features to toggle and these features include:

  • animated Background (y/n)
  • E3 maps (y/n)
  • E3 minimaps (y/n)
  • live Bestiary (y/n)
  • Loading screens (coloured/blackwhite)

Speaking of The Witcher, the Witcher series sales have surpassed 33 million copies and not only that the PC version of the games is the highest selling one.

The Witcher 3 is third-person action RPG developed by CD projekt Red for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
