Nier Automata Sequel Discussed by Producer, Vertical Shooter Also Under Consideration
It has been a year since Nier Automata came out and very recently at this year’s PAX East, the producer of the game talked about the possibility of opening another door in the Nier Universe.
At this year’s PAX East, Square Enix brought-in its finest to celebrate the game’s one-year anniversary. We had the director of the game, Yoko Taro, the producer Yosuke Saito as well as the composer Keiichi Okabe for a panel.
During the panel, a lot of different things were discussed among which the game’s soundtrack, mysterious helmet snacks were also commented upon.
While all of these various aspects of the game were being discussed, the producer of Nier Automata said something that got our attention.
To be precise, producer Yosuke Saito referring to Nier Universe said that, “I do think that we might be able to actually open another door”
Furthermore, he asked the fans to look forward to it, although he did not say when but his confidence does imply that we will surely be hearing more regarding this in the coming months.
According to Yosuke Saito, it is pretty hard and early to say anything about what this new door would be like, adding to that Saito also shared his interest in creating a vertical shooter.
