The MSI GS65 gaming laptop has just been announced and it is the first 144Hz thin bezel laptop on the market. Having that said, you must be wondering about the hardware that is able to power this high refresh-rate display. If that is your concern then you have come to the right place. The 15.6-inch IPS panel is powered by the Nvidia GTX 1070.
There are three fans that are keeping all the hardware cool and it is amazing to see how much stuff MSI has been able to cram into the laptop because it is thin and light. Under the chasis, you have triple enhanced Whirlwind Blade fans. The CPU and GPU have independent cooling with a total of 4 heat pipes. You can check out images of the MSI GS65 gaming laptop below:
Talking about the CPU, you get an 8th generation Core i7 CPU which should be enough to keep up with the GTX 1070. There are version of the laptop in which you can opt for 6 CPU cores. The laptop is 17.9mm thin and only weighs 1.88Kg. There is also a version that comes with the GTX 1060 but I am not sure how well the GPU will handle the high refresh-rate in demanding games.
All this does come at a price and the laptop is not what you call cheap. The GTX 1060 version will cost you $1800 and the GTX 1070 version will set you back another $300. The keyboard features RBG lighting and each key is individually lit. The screen can be tilted to 180 degrees due to the clean and clever hinge design. If you are in the market for a new laptop and do not mind the high price then this is something worth looking into. You can check out more information from the official site.
