Warframe Might Come to Nintendo Switch, Developer suggests

Warframe is a free-to-play title for PC and consoles and the developers are looking towards the option of taking it to Nintendo Switch. Warframe is developed by the studio Digital Extremes and debuted a few years ago for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems and offers players a futuristic, action-packed game experience that can be enjoyed alone or in the company of other people.

Several years after the launch, ‘Warframe’ is still active thanks to the work done by the Digital Extremes at the level of content updates, where highlights such as “Plains of Eidolons” add a large map full of things for do, weather effects and more things.

The studio is supporting the game with new content and constant updates on all platforms, but some are wondering if they plan to go a little further and bring ‘Warframe’ to other entertainment systems, such as Nintendo Switch, which the studio did talk about in an interview with Express UK.

Digital Extremes has no plans at the moment but, Sheldon Carter, CEO of Digital Extremes, was asked about the game coming to Nintendo Switch in the interview and he had this to say:

Oh, man, personally I love my Switch! I have collected so many Korok Seeds in Zelda, it’s a little embarrassing. In the studio, we are playing all sorts of games on it. Recently Steve was playing and loving Doom. That’s a great conversion. But as for putting Warframe on Switch, that’s a tougher question. Like all new systems, we’re looking at and examining possibilities, but we have no current plans to put anything on the Switch.

The studio has not ruled out categorically a possible version of Warframe for Nintendo Switch, we hope we will hear soon more about this until then there are no plans confirmed. Until then Warframe can be played on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
