All PlayStation Plus Free Games for April have been announced and they are not quite holding up to our expectations. After the announcements of this month’s Xbox Games with Live, we expected Sony to have something grande up the sleeves, however, some easy going titles are what we are getting this month. We can’t be that mad though, after last month’s PlayStation Plus Free Games including Bloodborne and Ratchet and Clank.
What you’ll be getting this month out of your PlayStation Plus subscription is Avalanche Studios’ Mad Max and TrackMania Turbo, both of which will be available in the upcoming weeks. While both games are not the AAA titles we expected, we might be a bit greedy since last month’s amazing PlayStation Plus Free Games lineup.
Mad Max is an open-world action title based on vehicle combat with bone-crunching battles, as Sony details in the related post on Playstation blog. Inspired by the homonym movie, Mad Max is set in a post-apocalyptic world where you get to fight to get your Interceptor back and make it to the Plains of Silence.
TrackMania Turbo, on the other hand, is an arcade racing title where your biggest opponent is racing time itself. You’ll be able to race on 200 official pre-built tracks as well as create your own and give other players one more challenge.
This month’s PlayStation Plus lineup also includes:
- In Space We Brawl, PS3
- Toy Home, PS3
- 99 Vidas, PS Vita
- Q*Bert Rebooted, PS Vita (Cross-Buy with PS3 and PS4)
Unfortunately, Sony has announced that as of 8th March 2019 all PS Plus Free Games will focus on PlayStation 4 titles only and will no longer provide free copies on PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. In case you started to worry, all of your previous redeemed titles will still be available on your consoles, however, you won’t be able to obtain any new ones.
