The Injustice 2 Legendary Edition is going to be coming out today, bringing with it not just the base game but also all of the different DLC fighters that have come out since the game released last year in May. This means you’ll get all three Fighter Packs, and Darkseid too.
Injustice 2 is the sequel to the 2013 fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us, which takes place in an alternate universe where the Joker caused Superman to take over the world and replace it with his brutal Regime. Injustice 2 continues the story where the first game left off; Superman has been defeated and the world freed, but remnants of the Regime still cause trouble, and the DC Universe’s villains have formed an organization known as the Society.
To top all of this off, Brainiac, one of Superman’s arch-nemeses, is coming to Earth. Batman, now in charge of the remaining superheros, must try and figure out whether or not to free Superman in order to prevent Brainiac from destroying the world.
The Injustice 2 Legendary Edition, in addition to all of the base heroes that were in the game from the beginning, will also be gathering the three different fighter packs, along with Darkseid, another one of the DC Universe’s major villains. The Fighter Packs included both heroes and villains like the Atom, Red Hood, Enchantress, Hellboy, the Ninja Turtles, Starfire, and Sub Zero.
While there’s no indication we’ll be getting more DLC for Injustice 2, this is probably the best time for people to play it if they ignored it at first to wait for a deal on the DLC. Considering both the original Injustice and Injustice 2 are both on current-gen consoles, you can also play both of them back-to-back to get the full story.
You can pick up the Injustice 2 Legendary Edition today on all platforms.
