Sea Of Thieves Combat Guide – Combat Tips, Weapons, Enemy Types

There are two different kinds of enemies found in Sea of Thieves. There are the skeletons and then there are the players. However, the goal is the same with each of them, to hurt them and they cannot take it anymore. This is, of course, easier said than done due to the complex nature of the ship and the player mechanics in the game, and this is where this Sea of Thieves Combat Guide comes in.

This Sea of Thieves Combat Guide will explain all of the basic combat mechanics in the game to you so you are able to fight to your maximum potential right from the very start and do not end up losing your hard-earned loot due to a stupid mistake.

Sea of Thieves Combat

The game is set up in such a way that you would only run into other players every 20 to 30 minutes. You can either use the cannons of your ships or go forward and try to attack them as a player. You cannot upgrade your weapon but you can change how it looks.

You will have access to a sword along with a variety of other firearms. Let’s go ahead and take a look at how the firearms are different from one another! This will help you determine the best one for you to take on your voyages.

Weapons

Sea of Thieves Combat has four different firearms for you to choose from. There is the Cutlass which is your standard sword. It can not only attack but also block attacks from enemies.

You have a Sailor Pistol which has a decent range along with moderate damage. You also have the Blunderbuss for damage at long range and a lot of penetration. The last weapon that you have is the Musket or the Eye of Reach which is for extremely long ranges and has a scope attached for you to use.

Killing AI Skeletons is not really that difficult. You do not have an aiming device which can make the pistol a little difficult. Make sure you avoid being surrounded by a large number of skeletons as that could be the death of you. Try to attack them and then fall back to avoid damage. Your firearm works really well underwater so attacking sharks can also be done with your pistol.

One of the most important things to remember is that you need to reload your firearm after each shot. This means that you need to use that weapon well and avoid missing shots. You can also go to the crates to refill the supply of bullets after an interval. Lastly, you cannot upgrade the power of your weapon but you can purchase newer and expensive models from the store.
