PS5 is yet to be announced but its release is expected in the next two years. And in the next two years, many great games are coming to Sony’s current-gen gaming hardware, PS4. Since there is an ongoing trend of remastering and releasing previous gen games on current-gen hardware (e.g The Last of Us Remastered, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection), we can expect the same for PS5 as well.
But which current-gen games we can expect to see on PS5?
Death Stranding is releasing sometime between Fall 2018 and early 2019. The game is developed by Hideo Kojima in partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game is Sony’s crown jewel and it is a no-brainer that Sony will, at some point, re-release Death Stranding on PS5.
The Last of Us 2
The Last of Us was a defining moment in Naughty Dog’s history. It improved the storytelling landscape by adding more heart, depth, and emotion to the mixture. The title released on PS3 years ago and made its way to PS4 in the form of The Last of Us 2 remastered. We are expecting similar treatment with The Last of Us 2 and PS5.
While Days Gone hasn’t managed to generate any sort of real excitement, it is still going to be a properly backed game by Sony. Days Gone’s concept felt pretty generic which is all the more reason for Sony to release it on more than one platform to boost sales, in case it tanks.
God of War 4
Kratos should definitely make its way to PS5 with enhanced graphically fidelity, stable frame rates, high-res texture and more compared to the PS4 version. God of War 4 should give players an additional reason to pick up a PlayStation 5.
