Bandai Namco has an extensive variety of mobile anime-related titles worth spending time into and apparently, we have one more in the making. The company has announced Dragon Ball Legends for Android and iOS coming this year.
The announcement comes from Google’s Game Developers Conference which took place on Sunday, where Namco has shown gameplay of Dragon Ball Legends along with some first information about it. Dragon Ball Legends is a 3D fighting game with trading card elements which will run on Google‘s Cloud Platform technology, allowing users worldwide to interact with each other simultaneously.
There’s a series of characters already confirmed for Bandai Namco’s new mobile game including Goku, Piccolo, Frieza, and Nappa. We shall be expecting more in the weeks to come. Characters seem to be collectible through cards, just like we see in other Bandai Namco’s mobile games for Naruto, Dragon Ball, and One Piece.
Its battle will be 1v1 based, with 3 characters for each player selected. Battles take place in real time, while you choose the skills and abilities you want to cast.
Last but not least, dare we say its graphics look amazing. The 3D graphics and battle animations give a completely new feel to Dragon Ball, similar to the franchise’s games released on PC and consoles. Certainly a step up since their previous mobile game for the franchise.
There’s no release date for Dragon Ball Legends yet but as announced it will be released somewhere in 2018 on Android and iOS. Until then here’s a list of Bandai Namco mobile games you should try:
- Sword Art Online Memory Frag
- One Piece Treasure Cruise
- Seint Seya Cosmo Fantasy
- Ultimate Blazing Ninja
- Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle
- Tales of Link
- Tales of Rays
