This Ni No Kuni 2 Citizens Guide details all the citizens which you can unlock in the game. These citizens will help you level up by using their set of skills to serve you. Recruiting citizens remains important to progression in Ni No Kuni 2, so let’s head to our guide.
Ni No Kuni 2 Citizens
Citizens in the game need to be recruited since they allow progression and ranking up. All of the 103 citizens come with a unique skill of their own. Building the Kingdom of Evermore and populating it with these citizens will result in your reputation is being a more powerful and respected leader.
Castle upgrades are available at 25, 50, and 103 citizens recruited successfully. This will contribute to your overall ‘Kingdom Level’. Furthermore, it will also help you unlock the ‘Recruiting Consultant’ Achievement/Trophy. There are many ways of acquiring citizens for your kingdom.
Some of the citizens will be unlocked and ready to be recruited automatically as you progress through the Main Story. Your party members along with a few other NPCs from Goldpaw fall under this category. This constitutes to about 20 or so citizens to the overall tally.
The second option is to look for an NPC called the ‘Taskmaster’ which you can find in every city. He runs a service called the ‘Swift Solutions’. He tasks you with a variety of errands including monster slaying and fetch quests. Completing these will help you obtain Tokens of Gratidue which you can turn in for either collecting rare items or recruiting NPCs. 30 or so citizens can be recruited in this manner.
Other NPCs will join your kingdom depending on your level of progression. Some will join your kingdom if certain other citizens joined earlier. The ‘Leafbook’ feature in the game will pin-point you towards the direction you need to take to recruit more citizens. It will also give you more details on these recruitable NPCs.
Finally, always go out of your way to complete side quests. These are marked with a person-shaped icon on it. A list of citizens who can be recruited along with the side mission which unlocks them is given below. Also, the skills for each citizen is also provided.
