Ubisoft’s upcoming open-world racing game The Crew 2 has finally gotten a release date announced, and to celebrate that news, the game’s developers, Ubisoft Ivory Tower, gave us a look at one of the legendary motorcycles that will be in the game; the Harley-Davidson Iron 883. The game will be releasing on June 29.
Being a racing game, The Crew 2 is bound to be absolutely filled with a variety of high-quality cars, planes, boats, and motorcycles as part of its vastly expanded number of vehicles. Part of the game’s selling point is that players are no longer limited to the ground.
The Iron 883 will be available to anyone who plays the game, and players can either drive it as-is in the classical way, or make use of the game’s large vehicle customization system to put on a number of different real-life attachments to the bike.
Ivory Tower apparently closely collaborated with Harley Davidson’s own design teams in order to make all of the parts as accurate as possible, meaning that if you decide to go for customizing parts directly out of the Harley-Davidson catalogue, you’ll be able to make what is essentially your own Harley motorcycle.
If you get the Harley-Davidson Iron 883 in The Crew 2, you can relive the long motorcycle road trips that used to be emblematic of Harley-Davidson and its punk aesthetic. Considering the huge area that The Crew 2 will have for players to travel by land, sea, and air, players will be able to take their own long motorcycle trips across the game’s landscape, even if it’s vastly shrunk down for the game.
Players will be able to own the Harley-Davidson Iron 883 when the game comes out on June 29 for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC. To see some footage of the 883 in action, look further up the article for a video.
