AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition 18.3.2 Brings Up To 7% Performance Boost For Final Fantasy 15 PC

AMD has rolled out Radeon Adrenalin Edition 18.3.2 for its Radeon Graphics cards which brings up to 7% performance boost for Final Fantasy 15 PC on the Radeon RX 580 and 4% performance boost on RX Vega 64.

According to release notes for AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition 18.3.2, this performance boost for Final Fantasy 15 PC running on Radeon RX 580 and RX Vega 64 was recorded at 1080p.

Not only that, Radeon Adrenalin Edition 18.3.2 also eliminates a known issue for the game which is minor stutter in the game while there are particle effects in play in the scene.

  • Up to 4% faster performance playing Final Fantasy® XV using Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.3.2 on the Radeon™ RX Vega 64 (8GB) graphics card than with Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.3.1 at 1920×1080 (1080p).
  • Up to 7% faster performance playing Final Fantasy® XV using Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.3.2 on the Radeon™ RX 580 (8GB) graphics card than with Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.3.1 at 1920×1080 (1080p).

Fixed Issues

  • Final Fantasy® XV may experience minor stutter during some particle effects.

Speaking on AMD, AMD Raven Ridge doesn’t support Windows 7 at all. According to the report, AMD Raven Ridge doesn’t support Windows 7 probably “due to ACPI issues in the BIOS”.

Furthermore, this issue can’t be bypassed by using an external GPU. According to the Redditor, this can’t be resolved until BIOS update for the required ACPI permissions for Windows 7 is introduced.

Also, AMD roadmap has leaked online revealing the codenames for the upcoming CPU and APU products till 2020.

In 2019, AMD roadmap suggests that the company will roll out Castle Peak which will be the successor to Threadripper, Matisse which will be the successor to Pinnacle Ridge, and Picasso which will be the successor to Raven Ridge.
