Defiance 2050 could come to Nintendo Switch, according to Trion Worlds. The developer is impressive by what Nintendo is doing with F2P games and aren’t ruling out a Nintendo Switch version. However, currently, there are no plans to bring the title to Switch.
Speaking with SegmentNext, Matt Pettit, stated that Switch version is “not currently planned, but with the approach, they are going to be taking to F2P games, we can never rule it out.”
Nintendo Switch’s library is growing by the day and third-party support is exceptional. Nintendo Switch getting an F2P game like Defiance 2050 would definitely be something.
Defiance 2050 is being built as a free to play game, so everyone can explore the massive post-apocalyptic environment with cutting-edge graphics and new in-game systems. To expand your experience, we will also be offering a variety of optional purchasable cosmetics and items that are not tied to power, ensuring that all players are able to enjoy the Defiance 2050 experience on an even playing field.
One of the great things about Defiance 2050 is the way they are planning to handle loot boxes. According to Trion, all in-game purchases won’t affect gameplay at all which should come as a sign of relief for those worried about the game’s handling of extra content. Moreover, they are planning to support the game well into the future.
Defiance 2050 is releasing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC later this Summer. Developers would share more about the game in the coming weeks, ahead of the game’s release.
