We have been getting plenty of leaks related to AMD CPUs, first, the AMD CPU roadmap was leaked and we saw the company plans for 2018-2020 and here we have something similar related to AMD Threadripper 3000 Series Castle Peak. You can expect to see the second generation AMD Threadripper CPUs to come out before the end of the year and the AMD Threadripper 3000 Series Castle Peak CPUs have been confirmed for 2020.

AMD Threadripper 3000 Series Castle Peak Coming 2019

It has been about a year since AMD Threadripper came to market and it gave Intel a tough time in the HEDT market as well as the server and workstation market. The second generation as well as AMD Threadripper 3000 series should be similar in nature and should be able to take on the competition. You can check out the leaked slides below:

The AMD Threadripper platform has the edge when it comes to core count to price ratio and that is where AMD was able to pull ahead of the game. We say plenty of people switch from Intel to AMD in order to get a better price. This is not only true for the prosumer market but the professional market as well.

AMD Threadripper 3000 Series Castle Peak CPUs will be based on the 7nm process and based on the Zen 2 architecture. Although the core count may not be increased we will see higher core count and smaller die size which will make the CPUs much more efficient. This could also translate to a lower cost of production and decreased heat dissipation.

It should be noted that these are not official announcements from AMD and have been leaked. We have noted some mistakes in the previous leaks and it is possible that these slides have been forged or views so take this information with a grain of salt.
