This Final Fantasy 15 PC Mod Improves Performance, Load Times And More

Final Fantasy 15 PC has just launched, however, the game has some performance issues for many PC gamers and if you are experiencing performance issues with the game then a Final Fantasy 15 PC Mod is here to improve the game’s performance.

This Final Fantasy 15 PC Mod comes from Steam user “Kaldaien” which focuses on nothing but to improve the Final Fantasy 15 PC performance. PC players have been experiencing stuttering while playing the game with a controller.

According to the modder, while playing with a controller any button press on the keyboard switches the game’s control scheme which causes stuttering. The mod prevents this from happening at all.

My own mod framework (Special K) is capable of working around this by preventing the game from seeing input events on devices of your choosing.

All you have to do is download the mod and extract is to the game’s install directory and the next time you launch the game the mod will take its effect. The mod also fixes the “excessive SteamAPI overhead that causes unusually long load screens and hitches during heavy texture streaming”.

As for the proper mod support for the game, Square Enix has confirmed that the game will get modding tools in May/June of 2018. According to game director, Hajime Tabata:

For now, let me first create a character. After that we are planning to implement a level editor in the tool so that we can create quests. I’d like to decide how to extend it further after completing the current schedule.
