Do you think that the content we’ve seen from Far Cry 5 so far is not wild enough? Then the Far Cry 5 Arcade Map Editor will sweep you off your feet. Baring assets from Ubisoft’s biggest IPs, the editor will make sure that Far Cry 5 will be fun enough long-term.
Through the Far Cry 5 Arcade Map Editor you’ll be able to create your own maps to play with the community, including approximately 7,000 different objects players can use. This mode is no big news since its a feature going back to Farcry 2, nothing was ever this huge though. Ubisoft is including assets inspired by some of their biggest IPs in the mode including:
- Far Cry 4
- Far Cry Primal
- Watch Dogs
- Assassin’s Creed Black Flag
- Assassin’s Creed Unity
Apart from those, more content will be added in six different updates with massive amounts being added whenever a Far Cry 5’s DLC gets released.
You can use any number of assets and build your own map for the community to play on, with official ones also being added from time to time. To keep you informed about the most popular ones, Ubisoft will create a hub for the Far Cry 5 Arcade Map Editor so that you can save your favorite ones and use filters to find more like them. More modes will be added too, some of them extremely weird like the Upside Down in which players get to explore a surreal map that emphasizes exploration and weird scenes.
According to Kotaku, Far Cry Arcade will include the exact same feature set across both Consoles and PC. Updates will also be simultaneous on PS4, Xbox One, and PC as they become available.
