ASRock has been known for making motherboards but in light of the high graphics cards prices and huge margins, it seems that ASRock is looking to enter the graphics cards market as well. While we have seen a shortage in the market for graphics cards and increased prices, you must be wondering if graphics cards availability will become better with ASRock entering into the graphics cards market.
If that is what you are wondering then you should know that, according to reports, ASRock will be focusing on AMD graphics cards and it does not seem like AMD is looking to increase capacity with the introduction of another partner. That means that ASRock will be partnering with some retailer in order to get graphics cards to the market.
Reports claim that ASRock will be focusing on AMD products but Nvidia has been dominating the graphics card market and it would be foolish for a company not to sell Nvidia cards as well. You can expect to see Nvidia graphics cards as well if ASRock does intend on getting into the graphics cards market.
All this means that there will be no improvement in the supply of graphics cards and we will not be seeing reduced pricing either. We have heard people claiming that cryptocurrency is here to stay and Nvidia CEO is one of those people. Nvidia has also predicted that prices of PC hardware will increase in the upcoming months and miners are not the only ones to blame.
All new cell phones coming out by Apple and Samsung (and others) last year started using the same memory as graphics cards. Apple and Samsung are willing to pay more for this memory to make sure they get it first and all of it that they need. This has created a shortage of memory for the much smaller companies like MSI, Gigabyte, Asus, and EVGA to make graphics cards.
Let us know what you think about ASRock entering into the graphics cards market and whether or not you think the company will be able to grab a portion of the pie.
