StarCraft 20th Anniversary Celebration Brings Goodies In All Blizzard Games

One of the most iconic real-time strategy titles the game industry has offered us is turning 20 years old. To celebrate StarCraft 20th Anniversary, Blizzard is rewarding all players with goodies in all of their games, with the most hyped one being a Sarah Kerrigan Ghost skin for Widowmaker.

Starting tomorrow, you’ll be able to grab some awesome loot on Overwatch, Heroes of the Storm, Starcraft 1 and 2, World of Warcraft and Heroes of the Storm. Additionally, a new StarCraft-themed brawl will be available with 3 Kobolds & Catacombs as the reward. The main feature of this celebration is the iconic Sarah Kerrigan Ghost skin for Widowmaker in Overwatch, bringing back memories of one of the most

">emotional cinematic in the StarCraft saga.

  • Overwatch: Sarah Kerrigan Ghost skin for Widowmaker.
  • Diablo III: A Battelcruiser pet.
  • World of Warcraft: StarCraft-themed companion pets – Zergling, Grunty, Mini Thor, Baneling, or Zeradar for the “Salute to StarCraft” Feat of Strength.
  • Hearthstone: A StarCraft-themed Tavern Brawl sometime during the month.
  • Heroes of the Storm: StarCraft-themed Portraits and Brawls.
  • StarCraft Remastered: A new console skin and a sale from March 6-20.
  • StarCraft II: Console skins, portraits, an achievement, and decals.

Not all StarCraft 20th Anniversary goodies will be available right away though. On March 6th you can redeem the Sarah Kerrigan Widowmaker skin in Overwatch, the Battlecruiser-themed pet in Diablo 3 as well as the rewards in StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft 2. Later in March, you’ll be able to grab the rest of them. For more detailed information on the StarCraft 20th Anniversary celebration check the official site.

Furthermore, Blizzard will hold an anniversary stream with several StarCraft personalities on March 30 and 31 as well as the StarCraft is Life: A Celebration video feature on Youtube, with some of StarCraft’s biggest fans look back on their favorite memories from the past 20 years.

Don’t forget that Blizzard has announced a Starcraft 2 free-to-play version at BlizzCon this year, including the first part of the game, Wings of Liberty. Subsequent campaigns (Heart of the Swarm, Legacy of the Void, and the Nova Covert Ops) will all be available for $15, but you can buy them in a bundle for $40. However, if you already own Wings of Liberty you’ll be getting Heart of the Swarm for free.
