Guillermo Del Toro Gets Congratulated For His Academy Award By Hideo Kojima
If you have been following the Academy Awards 2018 then you already know that Guillermo Del Toro won an award for Shape Of Water.
Hideo Kojima on his official Japanese Twitter account congratulated Del Toro with some emoticons but interestingly he also posted a picture of Del Toro’s Death Stranding character.

While that took place Jordan Vogt Robert whom you would probably remember from the film Kong: Skull Island, also made a Tweet paying tribute to Del Toro for his win. You may also remember Jordan Vogt Robert from his in production MGS film.
Robert replied Kojima with his selfie taken with Guillermo del Toro smiling an awesome the caption “took this photo specifically for you (Hideo Kojima).”

Shape of Water was released on December 1st, 2017 which hit a 110.7 million USD at the box office. Guillermo del Toro won the best director award for the movie whereas the movie won multiple awards including the best picture award, production design and original score award.
While the other movie Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri did give the film “The Shape of Water” some tough competition.
The above-shared Tweet does make us think that maybe Del Toro left a few directing tips for Robert for his upcoming MGS film.
