Report: Diablo 3 Coming To Nintendo Switch Despite Blizzard Entertainment Denying It

Diablo 3 has been in the news for quite some time thanks to the reports and rumors suggesting that Diablo 3 coming to Nintendo Switch. Even after Blizzard Entertainment denying Diablo 3 for Switch, a new report suggests that the game is indeed coming to Switch.

Recently, Blizzard Entertainment teased Diablo 3 for Switch through a post on Twitter and fans got more than excited, however, the studio clarified that the intent of the Tweet was not to tease the game for the hybrid console saying “As of now, we do not have any current plans to announce Diablo for Switch”.

However, according to Eurogamer, their sources have confirmed that Diablo 3 is very much in the works for Nintendo Switch despite Blizzard’s claims that it is not. The site noted that the sources didn’t confirm if the Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer expansions will be coming to Switch or not.

In related news, original Diablo designer, recently revealed that Diablo 3 would have been much more Diablo II-looking if Blizzard North had developed the game.

Our art style up north was different than the art style from the guys down [at Blizzard South], and so in a lot of ways it was much more like Diablo II-looking than it was what Diablo III ended up looking like.

However, Blizzard North was working on Diablo 3 at one point but, the game was scrapped and while Blizzard delivered a fresh new take on the game but, it was a buggy mess and littered with server issues.

Furthermore, another report has been making rounds on the internet suggesting that the game would be coming to Switch in 2019. Furthermore, the report suggests that the developers want to introduce local play with multiple Nintendo Switches.

Diablo 3 is an action RPG developed by Blizzard Entertainment for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
