There have been many rumors regarding Diablo 3 coming Switch, recently a report suggested that the game would be coming to Switch in 2019. Furthermore, the report suggests that the developers want to introduce local play with multiple Nintendo Switches.
In related news, David Brevik, the original Diablo designer, recently revealed that Diablo 3 would have been much more Diablo II-looking if Blizzard North had developed the game.
Our art style up north was different than the art style from the guys down [at Blizzard South], and so in a lot of ways it was much more like Diablo II-looking than it was what Diablo III ended up looking like.
Blizzard North was indeed working on Diablo 3 at one point but, the game was scrapped and while Blizzard delivered a fresh new take on the game but, it was a buggy mess and littered with server issues.
Brevik added that the Reaper Of Souls expansion really made it a much better game compared to what it was at launch and also added that “it was a fine game at launch, and I think that it really kind of held up the Diablo legacy”.
Diablo 3 is an action RPG developed by Blizzard Entertainment for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
