Guy Who Showed the Finger at VGA Has Finished His Game, Releasing on March 23

A Way Out has gone gold, according to the creator Josef Fares. Over at his Twitter page, he shared the news and confirmed that the title will make it to its March 23 release date.

A Way Out is a prison break game where two players help each other escape a high-security facility. The title can be played online or via local coop. Moreover, using the “Friends Pass” feature players will only require one copy of the game to play together online.

The game is designed to be played by two players so devs added this feature to let players invite any of their friends to play A Way Out. A similar feature was also used by EA for Battlefield 1 Season Pass. A Way Out is also published by EA.

Here’s a little bit more about the “Friends Pass” feature.

A Way Out is designed to be played with two players from start to finish. You can team up with a friend on your couch and play, or you can invite any of your friends online regardless of whether or not they’ve purchased the game.

That’s right when you buy the full game you can play the entire experience with any of your friends online. Send them an invite, they’ll unlock the Free Trial, and then you’re ready to play.

A Way Out is now available for pre-order at PlayStation Store, Xbox Live Marketplace, and EA Origin Store for PC. Those who don’t know Josef Fares, he is the person who ripped into predatory loot box practices by publishers. He also stated that PlayStation 4 is like five years old PC.
