A Way Out- Everything You Need To Know
A Way Out is a story driven action-adventure co-op game which will see players playing as a duo to overcome obstacles and situations as the protagonists make their escape from the authorities. Here we will list all that has been revealed about the game.
Relase Date and Platforms
A Way out is scheduled to release on March 23, 2018, and will be launch for the usuals platforms which are PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The game is currently available to pre-order for $29.99.
A Way Out is in development at Hazelight Studios and the project is being led by film director Josef Fares. Hazelight Studios is formed by former Starbreeze Studios’ employees who worked on Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons which is why controlling two characters in co-op at the same time looks so familar to Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. The studio is taking a spin on the two protagonists dynamic featured in Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.
This game will see two players playing in co-op controlling the two protagonists, Leo and Vincent. The way co-op works in this game is that two players must always be playing each of the characters to progress as the game is not designed at all to be played as a solo player, both players have to work together to complete objectives.
Meaning the game doesn’t have the option to drop out whenever you want and the other player will carry on the game. Both players have to be playing at the same time to progress as the game is designed this way in terms of story and gameplay.
Players will be playing each of the characters in a third-person perspective and will be presented with different situations which have different outcomes depending on choices and the character that makes those choices.
Some situations can be dealt with by using stealth or if the player wants they can play as loud as they can. The situations also include driving. Furthermore, the game is a split-screen co-op whether you play local or online. Even if one player is in a cutscene the other player might be engaged in another task.
Leo and Vincent are both different in personalities and which character completes which task also impacts how the situation will end. Like in one section of the game both plan to rob a convenient store and the decision about who enters the store first with the gun will impact how the robbery will end.
The story of the game involves two protagonists, Leo and Vincent, each controlled by a player as they make their escape from the prison. Both have to work together not only to escape from prison but also from escaping the authorities after they have escaped. Along the journey, they will face many situations that can be resolved in different ways.
From the creators of Brothers – A Tale of Two Sons comes A Way Out, an exclusive co-op adventure where you play the role of one of two prisoners making their daring escape from prison.
A Way Out is an experience that must be played with two players. Each player controls one of the main characters, Leo and Vincent, in a reluctant alliance to break out of prison and gain their freedom.
Together, you’ll explore notions of trust and consequence as your choices begin to catch up with you.
Both characters have a different personality and skills which can be used in different ways in different situations. However, not much is known about the characters themselves and the story aside from the description and the trailers.
That is everything you need to know about the upcoming A Way Out from its release date to its development. The game will be available on March 23, 2018, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
