Hideo Kojima and Geoff Keighley are “planning” something it seems. The host of The Game Awards tweeted earlier which is the base of our speculation today, combined with a few other things.
Keighley tweeted an image with Hideo Kojima with the caption “Planning.” There have been rumors and speculations that Death Stranding could be at E3 2018 alongside gameplay and a release date. SegmentNext itself heard some whispers around the industry that Death Stranding’s release date will be announced at E3 2018. However, due to the sources being new to us and are yet to prove their credibility we choose not to share such information.

But now it seems something is indeed being cooked up in the minds of Hideo Kojima and Geoff Keighley. Here are some other reasons why we believe Death Stranding is going to be at E3 2018. According to Hideo Kojima, Sony stated it has never seen a game being developed at such a rapid speed. Moreover, we believe that the game is already in final testing phase and our speculation about the matter was shared by Death Stranding star Mads Mikkelson himself on Facebook, further indicating that Death Stranding is indeed in its final testing as we reported.
Moving on, Hideo Kojima stated that he has a surprise for the community in 2018. And that surprise could be the game’s release date.
Death Stranding is coming to PS4 and PS4 Pro sometime in the next two years. While a release date could be announced at E3 2018, we doubt it is going to release anytime before early 2019.
