Titanfall, VR And Star Wars Projects Appear On Respawn Entertainment Website
After Electronic Arts acquired Respawn Entertainment it was only natural that we would see Titanfall come back into play eventually. Now, a new Titanfall project along with a Star Wars and VR projects are getting revealed in Respawn Entertainment’s website.
After a long period of silence, Respawn Entertainment is revealing the existence of three projects through job listings, a new Titanfall title, an adventure-action game based in the universe of Star Wars and a “super secret project” which appears to be a VR title. The company offers jobs in almost all positions so if you think you have what it takes to join their team, then check the career openings on their website.
The job listings’ description reads:
Respawn Entertainment is a AAA game development studio that was founded in 2010 by former co-founders of Infinity Ward and creators of the multi-billion dollar Call of Duty and Modern Warfare franchises. In 2017, Respawn was acquired by Electronic Arts, a leading global interactive entertainment publisher. We have shipped Titanfall and Titanfall 2 to critical acclaim, and are currently hiring for our Star Wars ™, Titanfall, and Unannounced VR game development teams. Our motto is gameplay first, and the opportunity to create groundbreaking games with some of the best developer talent in the industry awaits our future team members.
We have no information about the Titanfall title Respawn Entertainment is working on, however, the website offers some insight on their Star Wars Project. Apparently, it’s the product of a collaboration with Lucas Films and Electronic Arts. As with Visceral Games’ former project (before the studio was disbanded), it features action-adventure gameplay and is, as expected, set in the universe of Star Wars. The project was announced back in 2016 by Game Director Stig Asmussen.
As for the VR project, Respawn Entertainment didn’t offer more details other than it’s produced in collaboration with Oculus and does not concern either Titanfall or even the Star Wars franchise.
Which of the aforementioned projects are you more excited about? Would you want to see another Titanfall sequel getting released?
