The online-only multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie Destiny 2 will be receiving an Update next month. The Destiny 2 Update 1.1.4 will be tuning Weapons for the better. While Bungie was discussing the return of Fraction Rally that is coming next weak, the company also gave away really interesting details on the upcoming Destiny 2 Update.
Senior gameplay designer Jon Weisnewski and his team have their focus set on increasing Power Spikes. Low-usage items are also being focused on by the Sandbox team. The primary goals of the team are to “lean into an item’s established gameplay and push it harder” and with that, they do not want to dilute the item identity.
The gameplay designer, Jon Weisnewski talked about the weapons that will be getting tuned which he explained by giving an example of Graviton Lance. Graviton Lance not only “looks great but sounds even great and has a neat explosion” but the utility is very limited and that is where the team intends to make changes.
The developers although will be making improvements in the weapons section still they will not be touching all of the weapons. Weapons like Merciless, Telesto, Wardcliff Coil, MIDA Multi-Tool, Colony, Legend of Acrius, and Vigilance Wing will not be given attention in the Update 1.1.4. According to the developers, some of the weapons are effective to their utilities while those that are not will get treated for the better.
With that said, the Limited Edition Destiny 2 Ghost is currently at a 40% discount on Amazon so if you were looking to get one at the lowest price now is the time. Also, the Destiny 2 Expansion 2 entitled “God of Mars” will be rolling out this May with the game’s Season 3 start.
Destiny 2 has been struggling to try to keep its player base intact but do not be mislead with the struggle because Activision has recently revealed that Destiny 2 was the biggest PC launch in the history of the company. So if you have any doubts about the game then it is high time that they get taken care off.
Destiny 2 is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
