AMD and Nvidia constantly roll out new drivers for their GPUs with every new game launch which bring game-specific optimizations and this time AMD has rolled out Radeon Adrenalin 18.2.2 driver for its graphics cards which bring performance boosts to Kingdom Come Deliverance, PUBG, and Fortnite.
According to AMD, the company has internally tested Radeon Adrenalin 18.2.2 and results showcase improved frame rates for above-mentioned games. AMD tested these drivers with Intel Core i7-7700K 4.2GHz, 16 GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 64 Bit Windows 10, RX 580 at 1080p and RX Vega 56 at 1440p.
For Fortnite, the tests showcase 3% performance boost on RX Vega 56 at 1440p with average FPS jumping from 63 to 65 FPS. RX 580 showcased 6% improved performance at 1080p with average FPS jumping from 72 FPS to 76 FPS.
Moving ahead we have PUBG and Radeon Adrenalin 18.2.2 testing showcased 5% performance boost for RX Vega 56 at 1440p with average FPS at high settings jumping from 76 to 80 FPS. RX 580 revealed 7% performance boost at 1080p with average FPS 81 to 87 FPS.
Last but not the least we have Kingdom Come Deliverance which showcased 3% performance boost on RX Vega 56 at 1440p with average FPS jumping from 46.1 to 47.4 FPS. RX 580 showcased 4% performance boost at 1080p and the average FPS moved from 53.5 FPS to 55.9 FPS.
Speaking of Kingdom Come Deliverance’s performance, you can check out the benchmarks for the game running on GTX 1080 at 1440p and the results reveal that while the game runs below 60 FPS but stays way above 30 FPS.
In related news, AMD Athlon 200GE listing has poped up on the internet suggestign that AMD is looking to roll out a new low-end CPU. According to the listing, AMD Athlon 200GE will come with an integrated Radeon Vega Graphics making it an APU.
