New Sony Boss Visited Hideo Kojima
By now it is common knowledge that Sony CEO Kaz Hirai is stepping down from his position. The mantle is handed over to Joh Kodera, the new CEO of the company. He is working hard to build a communications platform between him and his new team, trying to understand different aspects of his job to create a healthy working relationship.
In the process, he recently visited Hideo Kojima at Kojima Productions HQ. Meeting Hideo Kojima, the creator of Sony exclusive Death Stranding, and his team at the studio. He spoke about the progress of the title as well as what Kojima’s plans for the future are.
We already know that Sony is very impressed with the pace of Dead Stranding‘s development. In fact, we are hearing that the game could hit as early as Jan-Feb 2019. Hideo Kojima stated that he has a big surprise planned for the community and we are speculating that it’s nothing else than a release date for the game.

Hideo Kojima: SIE told me they ‘never seen people working on a fast pace like this,’ so Death Stranding dev. is doing well. I plan to announce something in 2018 that’ll surprise everyone even more.
Death Stranding is releasing on PlayStation 4 and could get a gameplay reveal soon. We are expecting something to be shown at E3 2018. According to star Norman Reedus, the concept is beyond amazing. Although we don’t know what the concept is yet, fans are more than excited about the game. It’s mainly due to the reputation of Hideo Kojima and content he puts out.
