The upcoming Western-themed action-adventure video game Red Dead Redemption 2 developed by Rockstar Games has had a fair share of Rumors. With a recent rumor of the delay turning out to be true has made the anticipation of the game even greater. Take-Two Interactive has shared its view on the possibility of Battle Royale Mode of the game as well.
Since the confirmation of the rumor of the game which was originally scheduled for Q1/Q2 release will now be releasing in October, the company said that they require more time to polish the game. With that said, they also revealed some new screenshots to let the fans know that something really good is being made.
Coming to the Rumor of Battle Royale Mode of the game, the Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick commented during the question and answer session that although the questions about the mechanics of the game should better be left for the Company Rockstar. Still, on a general level, the company never undermines the contemporary innovations that are taking place in the gaming industry.
According to him, among the most successful genre right now is the Battle Royal and considering that in terms of Red Dead Redemption 2 some key issues also arise. One of his biggest concern was that Red Dead Redemption has the risk of becoming imitative of other works introduced by different brands. According to him those Titles that are derivative to other works never seem to do well.
With all that said Zelnick did share that the company does not ignore the present innovations that are taking place and that the company really does try to bring what the consumers desire.
Considering that Zelnick originally never confirmed nor denied the importance of Battle Royale for Red Dead Redemption 2 this can only be taken as a rumor that is very desirable. Let us hope that till the release some kind of confirmation does come to this rumor.
The Game is set to release on 26th October 2018 and will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
