20th Century Fox released a new magnificent trailer for Deadpool 2 earlier today, having chosen to not purchase a spot during the Super Bowl on the weekend. The studio clearly understood that the “merc with a mouth” does not like to share when it comes to promotions.
The new action-packed footage features the time-traveling, half-machine and half-mutant, mercenary called Cable, played by Josh Brolin. The accurate portrayal appears to be cut right out from the comic books, something that fans will greatly appreciate.
The trailer also brings attention to Domino, played by Zazie Beetz, another mutant mercenary with powers to increase her luck. Her portrayal, however, has gone astray from the source materials.
The returning cast includes Negasonic Teenage Warhead, played by Brianna Hildebrand; Colossus, played by Stefan Kapičić; Vanessa, played by Morena Baccarin; Weasel, played by T.J. Miller; and Blind Al, played by Leslie Uggams. Not to forget Wade Wilson, played by the loveable Ryan Reynolds.
It seems like the anti-hero has even messed around with the synopsis of his own movie. There is no guarantee that the following is what fans can expect in the end.
After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.
Deadpool 2, directed by David Leitch, will open in theaters on May 18, 2018. There was word last month that a trailer would accompany the premiere of Black Panther later this month after being released online earlier.
