Destiny 2 Crimson Days Valentine's Day Event | Destiny 2: Gods Of Mars

Back in 2016, Bungie celebrated the Valentine’s Day with the Guardians via a limited-time event called Crimson Days. The said event saw Guardians participating in the Crucible Playlist ‘Crimson Doubles’ with exciting loot & rewards. Heralded as one of the worst limited-time events to appear in the game, not a lot of Guardians have fond memories of it.

However, Bungie recently announced that Crimson Days is making a return to Destiny 2 with some much-needed changes based on feedback received by the community. In this article, we’ve essentially provided a complete roundup of everything that we so far know about Destiny 2 Crimson Days & what you can expect from it.

Destiny 2 Crimson Days Event to Celebrate Valentine’s Day

First things first, Crimson Days is going to be a seven-day event which will start on Feb. 13, 2018, immediately after the scheduled Weekly Reset & will remain active until the Weekly Reset on Feb. 20, 2018. During the course of these seven days, you’ll be able to earn a whole lot of new vehicles, shaders, emotes, & other goodies.

Crimson Days will allow you to participate in two versus two Clash Mode in Competitive Playlist. In addition to this, the event will also see the return of the Burning Shrine AKA The Burnout. Based on the criticism received from The Dawning, Bungie has promised that the number of Crimson Engrams dropped for the Guardians won’t be capped.

Apart from this, Bungie has also promised that Guardians won’t receive duplicate items until they’ve all the pieces of gear offered by Crimson Days. According to developers, every time a Guardian will level up, he/she would receive both a Crimson Engram & an Illuminated Engram. As opposed to The Dawning, this is welcome news.

Apart from that, Crimson Days will also feature five new rewards that will be tied to certain Milestones. The following is a brief roundup of everything you can expect from these Milestones:

Tirastrella Exotic Ghost Shell & Crimson Days Emblem
You need to complete ‘Welcome to the Crimson Days’ by completing a total of five Crimson Days matches and speaking with Lord Shaxx in The Tower to earn Tirastrella Exotic Ghost Shell & Crimson Days Emblem.

Undeterred Exotic Sparrow
You need to play & complete Crimson Days Crucible Playlist matches in order to get a chance of acquiring the Undeterred Exotic Sparrow.

Dieselpunk Exotic Ornament for Wardcliff Coil
What you need to do is to complete either the Leviathan Raid or Raid Lair: Eater of the Worlds to acquire the Dieselpunk Exotic Ornament for Wardcliff Coil from the final Treasure Chest after you head down after beating Emperor Calus.

Flaunting Dance Emote
In order to acquire the Flaunting Dance Emote, you essentially need to complete the week’s Nightfall Strike. As simple as that!

Finally, do note that Bungie’s confirmed that Crimson Engrams will only be available through gameplay. However, you should still be able to buy some of the items from Eververse Store. However, purchased items will also be added to the ‘knock-out’ list which means you won’t acquire your bought items from Crimson Engrams.

Finally, you’ll be able to dismantle all the event-exclusive rewards acquired during Destiny 2 Crimson Days and turn them into Bright Dust… and that includes event-exclusive Shaders. Good luck, Guardians!

Destiny 2 is now available on PC, Xbox One, and Playstation 4. Crimson Days is scheduled to roll out on Feb. 13, 2018 till Feb. 20, 2018.
