Xbox One S PUBG Bundle Announced By Microsoft, Priced At $299
Microsoft is giving you another reason to jump into PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on a console. A new Xbox One S PUBG Bundle has been announced by the company and with a pretty attractive price, dare we say.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is currently the most popular multiplayer video game out there, which makes sense to why Microsoft would want it bundled with the Xbox One. The game is also exclusively available on Xbox One so if you don’t have a high-end PC and still want to give it a try, then Microsoft’s console is the only option. However, many fans are not fond of the way the game runs on Xbox One making us think whether PC is the only way to go on this one.
The Xbox One S PUBG Bundle will be priced at $299 and it includes:
- An Xbox One S with a 1 TB hard drive
- Xbox Wireless Controller
- Full-game download of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds
- 14-day Xbox Live Gold trial
- one-month Xbox Game Pass trial
Given the fact that this bundle includes both the console and the game as well as Microsoft’s sturdy wireless controller and access to both services on Xbox we can say that it’s a pretty good deal. Microsoft has also announced that all first-party releases will be available on Xbox Game Pass on launch so that’s another reason for you to get an Xbox without having to spend loads of money on games.
According to Major Nelson’s blog:
“Since its release as a console launch exclusive on Xbox One in the Xbox Game Preview program, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds(PUBG) has reached incredible milestones, most recently surpassing 4 million players across the Xbox One family of devices,”
What’s making us wonder though is why bundle PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds with the Xbox One S instead of the much more powerful X, since they have already given it for free with an Xbox One X purchase in the past. Maybe Microsoft is switching focus to more budget and classic options that could actually boost the unit sales.
