Ubisoft’s Tom Clancy’s The Division Update 1.8.1 Has Been Rolled Out

Ubisoft’s online action role-playing video game developed by Massive Entertainment Tom Clancy’s The Division just had an update rolled out. The update 1.8.1 contains some fixes to the issues and exploits that were present before.

If you guys remember a few months back among many other issues and exploits there was one really hefty exploit that the players discovered. The God-mode exploit which many of the players were using an advantage in the game. Although Ubisoft fixed that exploit later on.

The patch notes from the PlayStation 4 update 1.18 of the game are also available for you to get the details of what are the actual changes and fixes.

Game changes – Update 1.8.1

  • Fixed an exploit where players could reach infinite RPM by swapping weapon magazines and load-outs
  • Fixed an issue where mods would unequip weapons or gear and could no longer be retrieved from the stash if the player switched load-outs in certain conditions.
  • Fixed an issue were gear optimizations were reset between game sessions.

Even though Ubisoft still has its focus set on The Division by supporting free content and updates, the focus on The Division 2 is also set. The managing director of Ubisoft David Polfedt recently hinted at that The Division 2 may also be underway.

Still, there are no apparent details of the game. Up till now, it has only be implied that it will be coming. According to the managing director, Tom Clancy’s The Division is a wonderful brand that has better future prospects as well. A great many stories can still be added to the game. With that, he also emphasized on the continuation of the game The Division.

For Ubisoft updating the game, The Division has actually increased its player base as well, since its update 1.4 the player base has been increasing at an increasing rate. Due to that reason the company feels obligated to provide its fans with latest updates of the games to keep the ball rolling.

This entirely does not mean that we might not have The Division 2.
