Rumor: Red Dead Redemption 2 Battle Royale Mode is Called “Revive and Survive”
Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to feature a Battle Royale mode, according to a leak from Tom’s Hardware. The website reports that they received a document a while back but didn’t share the uncorroborated information. However, due to parts of the document turning out to be accurate based on the information shared by Rockstar over the months, they decided to share the rest of it as well.
The Red Dead Redemption Battle Royale mode is called “Revive and Survive.” Rockstar Games is apparently trying to bank on the popularity of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. The game has become a phenomenon in the gaming community and has close to 3 million concurrent players on a good day.
If Red Dead Redemption 2 Battle Royale mode is a reality, we can be sure that Rockstar will try to put its own spin on it. Traditionally, a Battle Royale game features 100 plus players on a large scale map. The man standing wins the game. You either play Solo or with a team of up to 4 players. Meanwhile, it is being said that RDR2 Battle Royale mode pits two teams against each other.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Battle Royale mode is one of the features we mentioned in our wishlist but to be honest, it is unlikely that Rockstar will add something like this to there game. We are definitely expecting a multiplayer competent that offers GTA Online style heists and missions but a Battle Royale mode is a different beast altogether.
On top of the Battle Royale mode, there is a mode called “Money Grab” that tasks two teams to fight over bangs of money in the central location.
It is to be noted that while Tom’s Hardware has made a name for itself in the hardware side of things, we still don’t consider it to be a reliable source when it comes to leaking something like this. Anyhow, it is best to take this with a grain of salt for now.
