Far Cry 5 is bringing back Vaas through its season pass. According to Ubisoft, Far Cry 5 season pass owners will get Far Cry 3 Classic Edition. The game is going to be free for Far Cry 5 season pass owners and will be available four weeks prior to going standalone in Summer 2018.
The bad news here is that Far Cry 3 Classic Edition is going to be exclusive to consoles – PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Ubisoft confirmed that the title won’t be heading to PC for now, but surely we can’t rule out the possibility of this happening sometime in the future.
Far Cry 5 Season Pass owners playing on consoles will receive the single-player content from another critically-acclaimed Far Cry series entry with Far Cry® 3 Classic Edition, which will be available to season pass holders four weeks prior to launching as a standalone purchase in summer 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Far Cry 3® Classic Edition will let fans and newcomers to the series revisit Rook Island and encounter one of the franchise’s most notorious villains Vaas, who is brought to life by Michael Mando. As Jason Brody, players must explore the tropical island to find and save his friends, who are being held captive. PC players who purchase the season pass or Far Cry 5 Gold Edition will receive the full version of Far Cry® 3.
As far as season pass content goes, three very interesting modes are planned for Far Cry 5 players. Developers will add time travel, battles on Mars, and zombies in Far Cry 5 via its post-release content updates.
Far Cry 5 is releasing on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in March.
Are you excited to visit Vaas again? Do you think there should be another game based on him this time?
