Far Cry games are a little over the top and mildly comical but it seems Far Cry 5 is going to push the boundaries of these aspects. According to Ubisoft’s announcement, Far Cry 5 is going to feature zombies, time travel, and players leaving Earth to battle on Mars.
The publisher announced Far Cry 5 season pass details that revealed some very interesting facts about the game’s post-release content. Players are going to have uncanny experiences through each post-release addition. There are three modes planned for Far Cry 5, detailed below:
- Hours of Darkness: Players will travel back in time to Vietnam to battle against Việt Cộng soldiers
- Dead Living Zombies: Players will face hordes of zombies across multiple b-movie scenarios
- Lost on Mars: Players will leave Earth behind to go toe-to-claws with Martian arachnids
Going to Vietnam, fighting zombies, and visiting Mars are going to be a great way to take a break from the mess in Hope County, where lunatics have taken over.
Set in America, a first for the franchise, Far Cry 5 offers players total freedom to navigate a serene-looking yet deeply twisted world as the new junior deputy of fictional Hope County, Montana. Players will find that their arrival accelerates a years-long silent coup by a fanatical doomsday cult, the Project at Eden’s Gate, igniting a violent takeover of the county. Under siege and cut off from the rest of the world, players will join forces with residents of Hope County and form the Resistance.
Last but not the least, Vaas is coming back this year in Far Cry. Ubisoft confirmed a Far Cry 3 Classic Edition that is going to be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for those who own the season pass. The game will go standalone in Summer of 2018.
Far Cry 5 is releasing on March 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
