HWINFO has now listed upcoming unreleased products like Intel Ice Lake-SP, AMD Mattise and Starship. It is interesting to note that we have only seen Intel Cascade Lake-X in the official roadmaps and that this is something that we have not heard of before. AMD Pinnacle Ridge chips coming for the 400 series motherboards will be announced in March and will be released in April.
This is not a mandatory upgrade and the upcoming chips will work with existing motherboards as well. Intel Ice Lake-SP architecture could be offered alongside desktop Cascade Lake-X. So that is something to look forward to.
AMD Mattise is the name for AMD Ryzen 2 architecture that has reportedly be finalized. We have seen the performance of AMD Ryzen 2 series chips and you can check out more details regarding the upcoming variants here.
AMD Starship first appeared in data center slides and while those are pretty outdated at this point what we can take from this update is that those chips have not been canceled and that AMD has plans for them sometime in the future. You can check out the changelog below:
