It has been a rocky start for Blizzard when it comes to WoW and while there have been ups, there have been a few downs as well. Making another addition to that list of downs is a new problem in which WoW characters are disappearing and players are unable to find them.
Looking into this issue it seems that Blizzard is having some kind of problem but the company has confirmed that the problem has been detected and that a fix is being worked on as we speak, so you can expect things to get back to normal as soon as possible. Your WoW characters are not going anywhere, so stay calm and play some other game while you wait.
People have been complaining about the issue on the company forums all day yesterday and it was a matter of time before the team took note of the issue. The following is what Blizzard said on Twitter:
We are having some character realm issues at the moment, but are working to get it resolved as soon as possible! ^ROX
Though the issue seems to be resolved now, no reason has been given regarding why the issue took place in the first place. We will let you know when we get an official statement from the company. World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth Alpha is now available and the data has been mined. You can check out more information regarding that here.
While this might be a bit frustrating, I am sure there is a logical explanation behind all this. We will have to wait and see what Blizzard has to say regarding the issue. Stay tuned to SegmentNext for more information regarding the problem.
